Industrial gear oil characteristics

(1) suitable viscosity and good viscosity-temperature
viscosity is the most basic nature of gear oil. The formation of hydrodynamic film and elastic fluid lubrication film is closely related to the viscosity of gear oil. The viscosity of oil is large, and the thickness of oil film is formed, and the ability to resist load is large. If the viscosity temperature is good, the degree of viscosity change with temperature change is small. The change of oil film thickness is also small.
(2) Sufficient extreme pressure and abrasion resistance
oil with good extreme pressure and abrasion resistance will form boundary adsorption film or chemical reaction film under high speed, low speed and heavy load or impact load of gear mechanism. Can prevent tooth surface wear, abrasion and glue.
(3) good oxidation stability and thermal stability
When gear oil is working, it is in contact with air, metal, and impurities. Under the condition of high temperature, it is easy to oxidize and deteriorate, which shortens the service life of the oil.
(4) good resistance to emulsification
When gear oil is working, it is often possible to contact with water, and the oil and water are mixed, which is prone to emulsification and deterioration.
(5)Good anti-foam
Gear transmission system with circulating oil tank, the oil flow is agitated during operation, which is prone to foam, thereby reducing the actual working oil volume, affecting heat dissipation, or causing oil film damage and increasing mechanical wear.
(6) good rust and corrosion resistance
oil oxidation products or due to the role of additives often cause gear corrosion, and the presence of water vapor makes the metal rust.
